Wema Bank has strengthened its drive for women’s economic empowerment with its sponsorship of the SheCan Do More Conference 2026, a platform aimed at expanding opportunities for women in business, leadership and professional development.

The conference, scheduled for June 19 in Lagos, is expected to bring together women entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners and emerging leaders for discussions focused on growth, innovation and financial inclusion.

The bank said the partnership aligns with its women-focused initiative, SARA by Wema, which is designed to support women through access to finance, capacity building, mentorship and business networking opportunities.

According to the financial institution, empowering women requires more than providing financial services, stressing the importance of creating pathways to knowledge, strategic relationships and resources that can help women build sustainable enterprises and advance their careers.

As part of activities lined up for the conference, Wema Bank will offer a range of incentives to participants, including cash rewards, health benefits and business support packages aimed at encouraging financial inclusion and entrepreneurship.

The bank also plans to provide attendees with access to health screenings, special loan offerings and other value-added services through the SARA platform, alongside interactive engagement activities during the event.

Wema Bank noted that the sponsorship underscores its continued commitment to supporting women’s economic advancement and fostering an environment where more women can achieve financial independence, expand their businesses and contribute meaningfully to national development.

“The SheCan Do More Conference has become a notable platform for inspiring and equipping women with the tools, networks and opportunities needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive economic landscape.”
