The 2026 edition of the Visionary African Women Summit has wrapped up in Zambia, marking another milestone in efforts to advance women’s leadership and development across Africa.

The gathering attracted prominent African women leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, advocates, and delegates from different parts of the world, all united by a common commitment to strengthening cross-cultural collaboration, promoting mutual understanding, and driving sustainable development.

The summit also served as a catalyst for building international networks and forging strategic partnerships, reinforcing global cooperation in tackling the shared challenges facing women across the continent.

Speaking at the summit, the Founder and Convener, Amb. Chinwe Lilian, urged participants to be intentional about creating value in their respective countries and communities.

Amb. Lilian emphasized that true leadership is measured not by titles but by impact, encouraging delegates to return home with renewed purpose, implement the knowledge gained, empower others, and become catalysts for positive transformation across Africa.

She also challenged women to embrace innovation, resilience, and collaboration as essential tools for shaping the continent’s future, stressing that Africa’s development depends on empowering more women to occupy leadership positions and contribute meaningfully to national and regional development.

According to her, the summit was not merely an annual gathering but a movement committed to nurturing a new generation of visionary women leaders who are equipped to influence policy, drive economic growth, promote peace, and inspire positive change within their communities.
