Super Eagles forward, Tolu Arokodare, is close to securing a loan move to Ajax Amsterdam of Holland from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This is according to Italian journalist and transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, via a post on his official X account on Monday.

Romano detailed Arokodare’s transfer to
Ajax as a loan with full salary coverage by Ajax, a paid loan fee, and a €22m non-mandatory buy option.

“More on Tolu Arokodare to Ajax exclusive story: Loan with salary fully covered by Ajax, €22m buy option clause not mandatory. Loan fee also included,” Romano disclosed.

He added that Wolves will earn additional bonuses if Ajax qualifies for European competitions under the structured deal.

“Wolves to receive bonuses based on Ajax qualification for European competitions. Here we go,” the Italian added.

The 25-year-old Nigerian striker, signed by Wolves from KRC Genk of Belgium in 2025, heads to Ajax following Wolves’ relegation from the Premier League to the Sky Bet Championship.

Arokodare had earlier been linked with a summer move to Fiorentina of Italy but the transfer failed to see the light of day.

The lanky Nigerian international striker also recently had an issue with Wolves, following the club’s refusal to allow him train with the first team.
