… Cautions against sabotage ahead of 2027

A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), BTO4PBAT, has called on all aspirants who participated in the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections in Ondo State to unite behind the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to the group, the post-primary phase of the party demands calculated consolidation rather than continued internal strife.

The group, which is mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bidt in 2027, described the enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated during the primary process as affirming “the vibrancy and internal strength of our great party.”

In a statement issued by the Director-General of the group, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, the group urged aspirants, party leaders, and stakeholders to place the party’s collective mandate above individual aspirations.

According to Adojutelegan, competitive primaries are defining features of every healthy democratic party intended to produce standard-bearers, not enduring divisions.

He argued that true leadership is demonstrated by the ability to set aside personal ambition in the interest of party unity, institutional stability, and electoral success.

The call for reconciliation comes amid the publishing of the personal particulars of candidates by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in line with the revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general election.

The group emphasised the need for deploying “experience, political capital, and grassroots structures in support of the party across every local government, ward, and polling unit in Ondo State.

“Every gesture of reconciliation, every act of cooperation, and every coordinated mobilisation effort will strengthen the APC’s electoral advantage.”

The group had earlier urged party faithful to replicate the discipline and unity that secured victory during the 2024 governorship election, adding that it has been engaging in grassroots mobilisation across the state, with its ward tour initiative and community engagement programmes already underway.

BTO4PBAT reaffirmed its commitment to “promoting party cohesion, strengthening grassroots mobilisation, and advancing a disciplined political culture founded on loyalty, unity, service, and shared responsibility.

“Inspire greater public confidence, deepen grassroots engagement, and position the party for decisive victories while delivering “overwhelming support for the re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
