The Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Zamfara State Chapter, Alhaji Surajo Garba Mai Katako, has donated six vehicles to dedicated youth members as part of his commitment to strengthening the party and rewarding loyalty, hard work, and dedication.

The donation, which was made from the Chairman’s personal resources, is aimed at complementing the leadership and vision of the NDC governorship candidate for the 2027 general election, Senator Kabir Garba Marafa, whose leadership has continued to inspire confidence and renewed hope among party members across Zamfara State.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Alhaji Surajo Garba Mai Katako described the initiative as a demonstration of the party’s appreciation for members who have remained steadfast and committed to the growth of the NDC.

He assured party faithful that the gesture marks the beginning of many welfare and empowerment programmes that will benefit committed members across the state.

Representing the State Chairman at the event, the NDC Zonal Vice Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Gora, officially presented the vehicles to the beneficiaries,  commended the Chairman’s generosity and urged recipients to remain dedicated to the ideals and objectives of the party.

The ceremony was attended by senior party officials, including Hon. Auwal Garba Alhazzai, NDC Zonal Vice Chairman for Zamfara North; Hajiya Nafisa Ahmad; the NDC State Legal Adviser; and several other executives and stakeholders of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Zamfara State Chapter.

The beneficiaries of the six vehicles are Hon. Saifullahi Sani (Admin), Comrade Ashiru Lawal Mayanchi, Adamu Garba Anka, Aliyu Sani SK Tsafe, Harazumi Khalifa, and Malam Hassan Wakkala.

The donation has been described by party members as a significant milestone in Zamfara’s political landscape.

According to attendees, it is the first known instance in the State’s political history where a State party chairman has personally purchased and donated six vehicles to party members in recognition of their commitment and service.

“The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Zamfara State Chapter, believes this remarkable act of generosity will motivate members to remain committed to the party’s vision of responsible leadership, grassroots development, and service to the people of Zamfara State,” the party said.

“The party prays that the Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to bless Alhaji Surajo Garba Mai Katako, reward his generosity, and grant the beneficiaries the wisdom and strength to continue serving the party with dedication and integrity.”
