The Yobe State Police  Commissioner, Usman Kanfani Jibrin, has on Wednesday, received the newly posted Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Hassan Owuna, alongside members of his management team, during  a courtesy visit to the Command’s Headquarters in Damaturu.

Speaking durinng the courtesy visit,, the NSCDC State Commandant expressed his appreciation for the warm reception accorded to him and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the existing partnership with  the Command and the NSCDC in Yobe State.

Owuna also emphasized the need for sustained cooperation, intelligence sharing, and operational synergy among security agencies to effectively address emerging security challenges and enhance public safety.

The Commissioner of Police, therefore  congratulated the State Commandant on his posting and welcomed him to the state.

He added that the prevailing relative peace and security in the state can only be sustained through mutual trust, collaboration, and coordinated efforts among all security agencies.

The Commissioner of Police, commanded the unwavering commitment to fostering stronger inter-agency collaboration through intelligence-led policing, joint security operations, capacity building, and other coordinated strategies aimed at preventing and combating crime, protecting critical national assets, and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.

The Commissioner called on residents of Yobe State to continue supporting security agencies by providing timely, credible, and actionable information, stressing that security remains a collective responsibility to protect lives and property.
