More than 100 youth football teams entered the playoff stage of the TFA Future Liga 2026, but only 18 have secured places in the competition’s Grand Finale, scheduled for August 24 to 29, 2026.
The finalists emerged after a competitive playoff process that saw academies battle for limited places in the final stage of the tournament.
Among the teams that have secured qualification are PASS FA, Blazer Football Academy, The Future Academy, FIT Youngsters Sports Academy, Mainlander FC, Bright Future Stars, Young Stars FA, Elite Touch FA, Varsity FA, Fortune FA, Strong Dove Football Academy, Excellent Star Football Academy, Adhoc Football Academy, Gaiters FC and Dazzle FC, alongside the other teams completing the 18-team field.

The Grand Finale will feature the U11 and U13 categories in a six-a-side football format, giving the young players an opportunity to compete against academies and youth football programmes from across the tournament.
For the participating players, the competition represents more than an opportunity to win a trophy. It provides a platform to test their technical ability, football intelligence, teamwork and resilience in a competitive environment.
The Future Liga is built around the philosophy of “Play. Develop. Compete”, with an emphasis on creating meaningful playing opportunities while helping young footballers develop both on and off the pitch.
Organisers believe competitive matches can provide important learning experiences for young players, from making decisions under pressure to responding to mistakes, working with teammates and adapting to difficult opponents.

The tournament also provides an opportunity for young players to gain exposure beyond their regular academy environments. Performances at youth competitions can give coaches, scouts and other football stakeholders an opportunity to identify emerging talent and assess players in competitive situations.
For the 18 teams that have reached the Grand Finale, qualification represents the culmination of the first stage of the tournament. The focus now shifts to the final week, where they will compete for the 2026 title.
The six-day competition is expected to feature goals, individual performances and closely contested matches as the young players seek to make their mark.

Beyond determining a champion, the organisers say the tournament is intended to create an experience that encourages young footballers to compete, learn and develop through the game.
The TFA Future Liga 2026 Grand Finale will take place from August 24 to 29, featuring 18 finalist teams across the U11 and U13 categories.
The competition is powered by The Future Academy under its “Play. Develop. Compete” philosophy.
