The Executive members of Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ZACCIMA), and over thirty members of the traders Associations in the State have unanimously passed vote of no confidence on the Deputy President 1 of the Chamber, Chika Galidima over alleged irregularities.
According to them, Galadima was removed by the unanimous resolution of the Executive Council members and the leaders of the Traders Association at the stakeholders meeting of the chamber held at the Falala Hotel held in Gusau on Wednesday, 19/08/2026.
The Executive Council members told mewsmen that Galadima was expelled over many offences, which included delay in taking decisions to promote and move the chamber forward, personalizing the affairs of the chamber among other related offences .
The Council unanimously appointed Deputy President 2 of the Chamber, Alhaji Abubakar Kabir to take over the position of Chika Galadima as Deputy President 1.
“The Council members and traders have impeached Galidima over various offences and his failure to lead the association in the direction”, they added.
In his acceptance speech, the newly appointed deputy President 1 of the chamber, Abubakar Kabir thanked the Council members and all the representatives of traders Associations in the State for his appointment.
“I accept the nomination for the position of the Deputy President 1 of the Chamber and agreed to work with all stakeholders for the development of the Commercial activities in the State”
“We are going to collaborate with the State government to promote trades and businesses for the development of economic activities in the State.
He Commended the council members, traders and business associations in the State for their dedication and concern to the development of the chamber, called on stakeholders to support the development of the Chamber.
One Sadiq and others in their separate remarks, appealed to Governor Dauda Lawal to support the chamber of commerce to achieve in reviving the economic activities of the entire State
They urged Governor Dauda Lawal to actively support Zamfara Traders with loans with boost trading activities across the State.
According to them, it his high time for Governor Dauda Lawal to consider the approval of loans to the traders to develop their businesses.
In attendance at the meeting were representstives from Cattle dealers association, Motorcycle sellers association, Fish sellers Association, Poultry Farmers Association, Dates Sellers Association, Block Boulders Association, Groundnut Sellers Association and Grains Dealers Association among others.
