FIFA has imposed a series of disciplinary sanctions on Argentina following breaches recorded during the World Cup final, with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) fined $321,000.

The sanctions also include a 10-match suspension for midfielder Leandro Paredes, who was fined $90,000.

The AFA has further been ordered to restrict attendance to 50 per cent for its next two home matches. However, FIFA suspended part of the punishment — including one of the two matches and $100,000 of the fine — subject to a probationary period.

FIFA also directed that $100,000 of the AFA’s fine be invested in an anti-discrimination programme.

Other sanctions handed down include a seven-match ban and $90,000 fine for Nahuel Molina, while Thiago Almada received a one-match suspension and $30,000 fine.

Team official Roberto Ayala was handed a three-match suspension and $30,000 fine, while Pablo Martín Páez Gavira received a one-match ban and $30,000 fine.
