Real estate is not just about land, it’s about people — Founder Dr Mayowa Owolabi

As Wealthgate Africa marks its third anniversary, the wealth building community is reflecting on the people, experiences and relationships that have shaped its journey, reinforcing a belief that wealth creation is ultimately about more than acquiring assets.

For Wealthgate Africa, every investment decision represents a personal goal. It could be a young professional taking a first step towards asset ownership, a family planning for the future, an entrepreneur diversifying their assets or an individual beginning a deliberate journey towards financial independence.

This understanding has influenced the way Wealthgate Africa engages with its community and approaches wealth education.

Speaking on the community’s three-year journey, Founder of Wealthgate Africa, Dr Mayowa Owolabi, said its relationship with members remains central to its growth.

“We are genuinely grateful for every person who has trusted us enough to take that first step. Our clients have been part of our growth in ways they may not even realise. They challenge us, they encourage us, and they keep us accountable.”

A significant part of the Wealthgate experience has been its emphasis on site inspections and firsthand learning.

The community believes investment decisions should not be based solely on pictures, promotional materials or assumptions. Prospective investors should have the opportunity to see and understand an investment opportunity for themselves before making a decision.

Over the past three years, members and prospective investors have participated in inspections of property opportunities across locations including Obafemi Owode, Itori, Imota, Ilishan and Epe.

During these visits, participants have the opportunity to walk the land, examine the surrounding environment, assess accessibility and development, ask questions and engage directly with members of the team.

For many prospective investors, these visits provide an opportunity to move beyond simply hearing about an investment opportunity to experiencing the location firsthand.

Wealthgate Africa said site inspections are therefore not simply sales activities, but part of its broader commitment to investor education and informed decision-making.

The same philosophy extends to its agricultural opportunities, including Palm Oil Plantation and Cashew Plantation projects in Ogbomoso.

According to Wealthgate Africa, its interest in agriculture reflects its broader focus on helping people understand productive assets and explore different approaches to long-term wealth creation.

Beyond site inspections, Wealthgate Africa has organised seminars, webinars and community engagements covering areas such as real estate, land banking, agriculture, personal finance and wealth creation.

The community said some of the most valuable outcomes of these engagements have been the conversations they create.

First time investors have opportunities to ask questions about asset ownership and investment, while more experienced members can share lessons from their own experiences.

These interactions have also helped the Wealthgate team understand the areas where members require greater clarity, education and support.

Dr Mayowa Owolabi said feedback from members has played an important role in shaping the community’s development.

“Every question has helped us improve. Every concern has pushed us to do better, and every testimonial has reminded us that behind every transaction is someone’s trust.”

As part of its third-anniversary activities, Wealthgate Africa plans to highlight member experiences, moments from site inspections, project stories, founder reflections and key milestones from its three-year journey.

The anniversary campaign will also feature a special opportunity connected to Radiant Court, Ilishan, the community’s latest property opportunity through MOC Estates, the real estate arm of Mayowa Owolabi Company.

Looking ahead, Wealthgate Africa intends to continue improving how people understand and experience asset ownership through greater education, transparency, open conversations and stronger relationships with its community.

The goal, according to the community, is to create an environment where individuals can better understand the opportunities before them, ask the right questions and make financial decisions with greater confidence.

Three years into its journey, Wealthgate Africa says its story is defined not only by the projects and opportunities it has introduced, but by the people who have trusted the process, asked questions, shared their experiences and grown alongside the community.

For Wealthgate Africa, the third anniversary represents three years of building a community, creating knowledge and helping people take intentional steps towards sustainable wealth one relationship at a time.
