Former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Alhaji Abdul Waheed Akintola Olajide, has died.

Olajide, who served as SSG during the administration of the late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi, reportedly passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

His death was announced by his family in a statement issued on Wednesday. The family described him as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and cousin, while expressing gratitude to Allah for his life.

The family also appealed for prayers and support as they mourn his passing.

His Janazah prayer was scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the MAN Centre, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
