WayvePay, the digital banking platform of Wayve Microfinance Bank, is expanding its services by making the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE Initial Public Offering (IPO) available to its customers.
A statement yesterday by its Head, Communications and Marketing, Kingsley Ezenwa, said the digital platform was giving eligible Nigerians an opportunity to apply for shares in the refinery.
He said the public offer provides eligible investors with the opportunity to apply for shares and, if allotted, become shareholders in the refinery.
Ezenwa explained that for WayvePay customers, the IPO adds an investment dimension to a growing digital financial ecosystem that already provides transfers, payments, savings, business banking, funding opportunities, loans and rewards.
He added: “Through Wayve Business, eligible small businesses can access opportunities around marketing support, business growth and grants where applicable, while eligible salary customers can benefit from funding support, salary-advance options and rewards.”
The Dangote Refinery IPO represents an opportunity for Nigerians to participate in the ownership of a major Nigerian industrial asset through the capital market.
