The defendants were arraigned before Justice Musa Kakaki on a 22-count charge marked FHC/LAG/CR/755/2026.
They pleaded not guilty to all the counts.
The prosecution said the trio allegedly conspired between July 28 and August 1, 2026, with Atandare Oladipupo Oluwarotimi and Latifat Yusuf said to have been arrested in London, United Kingdom to export 184.5 kilograms of cocaine concealed in five consignments through a Lagos-based courier logistics firm to London.

Afolabi was also alleged of unlawful possession of the cocaine prior to the attempted export.
The NDLEA in the charge further link Afolabi to a payment of ₦13.2 million from a Mallamawa Ventures account domiciled in Zenith Bank to BOT Express Logistics as consideration for the shipment.
In addition to the drug-related counts, the NDLEA filed multiple counts bordering on alleged money laundering against Afolabi.
The agency alleged that he channelled large sums of money through several companies and personal accounts, including Mallamawa Ventures, Fateey Man Multi-Purpose Nigeria Limited, Patonifa Limited, Ade-Lak Resources, Holmestas Global Services Limited and La Capital Enterprises.
The prosecution alleged that the funds were used to acquire vehicles and landed properties in a bid to conceal the alleged illicit origin of the proceeds. He was also accused of failing to declare his assets to the agency as required by law.
After the defendants entered their pleas, the prosecution counsel, Mr Abu Ibrahim urged Court to remand them in Correctional Facility pending determination of the charge, urged court to grant accelerated trial, citing the gravity of the offences.
But the first defendants counsel, Mr Abdulakeem Labi-Lawal and other defendant lawyer moved their bail applications, which were opposed by NDLEA prosecutor, Ibrahim.
The prosecutor urged the court to remand the defendants
Following arguments from both sides, the court ordered that the defendants be remanded in the NDLEA facility and adjourned the case to October 2, 2026, for ruling on their bail applications.
The NDLEA alleged that Afolabi, also known as KayCee Luxury, KayCee Lux, KC, Mr. Luxury and Yemi Ejide, was arrested on August 13, 2026, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while attempting to board a business-class flight to Paris.
VThe arrest followed the interception of the 184.5kg cocaine consignment, which the agency estimated to have a street value of about ₦39 billion.
The agency further stated that a search conducted on the defendant and at his Banana Island residence led to the recovery of exotic vehicles, foreign currency and jewellery believed to be proceeds of the alleged illicit trade.
One of the counts reads that the defendants, within the stated period, conspired with the London-based suspects to export 184.5 kilograms of cocaine using the identified airway bills under the shipper’s name “Yemi Ejide,” an offence said to be punishable under Section 14(b) of the NDLEA Act.
