The Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC) has hosted the sixth edition of its flagship TechNnovation FinTech Conference, bringing together regulators, financial institutions, fintech leaders, technology innovators, policymakers, academia, and industry experts to examine the future of intelligent financial ecosystems. The conference was themed: “Building Intelligent Financial Ecosystems: Harnessing AI, Blockchain, and Autonomous Systems to Boost Productivity and Trust.”

She noted that while technology is already transforming financial transactions and customer experiences, the more important question is the kind of financial ecosystem stakeholders choose to build with these technologies.

The Opening Address was delivered by Dr. Stanley Jacobs, Chairman, TechNnovation Advisory Board and President, Fintech NGR, who set the tone for insightful discussions on the transformative role of emerging technologies in shaping the future of financial services. He described blockchain as a powerful infrastructure for trust and emphasized that intelligent financial ecosystems must be built on verifiable transactions, transparency, and collaborative innovation.

The conference featured three plenary sessions focused on critical issues shaping the future of finance: The Rise of Financial Intelligence Architectures; The Trust Layer of Finance: Governing Identity, Integrity and Verification in Autonomous Systems; and From Control to Confidence: Rethinking Risk and Regulation for Autonomous Financial Ecosystems.
