Nigerian actor and 2026 Big Brother Nigeria housemate Yusuf Muhammad-Awal made confidence one of his defining traits in the house. Yet, despite showcasing a range of qualities, the reality star has also drawn the attention of netizens for his fiery confrontations, particularly when his temper gets the better of him.

Yusuf, on September 20, 2026, was evicted alongside Isabella Imoh, known as Bells, and Chimsom Chuka from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 “Show Ya Sef” house, and all spent 56 days in the house.
  
The 25-year-old from Kogi State entered the house on July 26, 2026, as an actor, writer, author of three books, model and fish farmer, but his romance with fellow housemate Bells and an unforgettable rehearsal proposal, alongside fiery confrontations when his temper flared, became the aspects he was confronted with after exiting the house.
   
Speaking with The Guardian during a media post-eviction interview, he said: “I had a few confrontations in the house, unlike other people. I only had confrontations with Joshua Alekewumu (Tram) and Sultan Aregbe-Obanikoro (Surtex), but it was blown out of proportion. I do not have a temper; most of the things happened in moments I needed to stand up for myself. But coming out and watching it, I now see what the viewers saw; it wasn’t the most pleasant side of me. I went completely out of character. I felt so bad about it. I don’t want to see myself that way, let alone other people seeing me that way, and I might need some work to do when it comes to my outbursts, but it doesn’t translate to Yusuf having a temper.”

“I’ve always been described as calm, chilled, smart, calm and collected, and that’s why I like to carry myself so. I felt they set traps for me in the house.

“I was cool 90 per cent of my stay in the house, so a few outbursts should not define me or my image.”

“I also want to correct the narrative that I was only with Bells. Bells was part of the journey, but I also have others like Victor Ikpe (Keivo), who brought out the weird side of me, and we were always doing crazy things. There were other sides I showed in the house which I feel the world did not pay attention to.”
   
When asked if he felt Nigerians ganged up to vote him and Bells out of the house at the same time, he said: “I never paid much attention to that. I felt my time was up when I was evicted. I don’t think it’s a gang-up.”
  
When asked about being called an instigator in the house, Bells said: “That’s their business. I wanted to have fun, and I believe that I had fun, so whatever happened in the house, I don’t think it has anything to do with my life outside.”

“I am looking forward to expanding my cosmetic business and also swear an oath to becoming a videographer next year.”
