In a statement issued to commemorate the 66th Independence Anniversary of the country, the Chairman of the forum, Chief Demola Ijabiy, said the reforms are laying a stronger foundation for investment, local production, and employment.

While insisting that their benefits must reach more households, businesses, and communities across the country, Ijabiyi warned that the reversal of the reforms being advocated by the President’s opponents would deepen and spread the poverty from which Tinubu is working to rescue the country.

With the chairman of the forum acknowledging the sacrifices Nigerians have made amid the reforms, expressed confidence that their patience and enterprise will help secure a more prosperous future.

He urged youths to embrace education, skills, technology, and entrepreneurship, describing their talent and energy as essential to the greater Nigeria being sought.

Ijabiyi further called on political, traditional, and religious leaders to promote peaceful coexistence, stressing that Nigeria’s diversity is a strength and that political differences must never weaken the common commitment to national progress.

“The Chairman of the PBAT Mandate Elders Forum, Demola Ijabiyi, has stated that as Nigeria marks her 66th Independence Anniversary, he congratulates Nigerians at home and abroad and salutes the enterprise, resilience, and patriotism that continue to advance our nation.

“This anniversary is an occasion to celebrate our achievements, strengthen our unity, and renew our confidence in Nigeria’s future. The PBAT Mandate Elders Forum, Ondo State, firmly supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms.

“We believe they are laying a stronger foundation for investment, local production, employment, and shared prosperity,” Ijabiyi said.

He added that the Forum’s commitment is to the continuation and consolidation of the positive outcomes of the reforms “so that their benefits reach more households, businesses, and communities.” This is the basis of our support for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.”

Ijabiyi cautioned against what he described as easy promises from the opposition candidates, saying Nigerians must not allow those promises to return the country to the failures of the past.

“We recognize the sacrifices Nigerians have made and remain confident that their patience and enterprise will help secure a more prosperous future. We encourage our young people to embrace education, skills, technology, and entrepreneurship. Their talent and energy are essential to the greater Nigeria we seek.

“We also call on political, traditional, and religious leaders to promote peaceful coexistence. Our diversity is a strength, and political differences must never weaken our common commitment to Nigeria’s progress.

“On behalf of the Forum, I congratulate President Tinubu and all Nigerians on this anniversary. Let us move forward with unity, patriotism, and confidence, sustaining the foundations of prosperity for this generation and those to come.”
