Why honesty is still the best policy!

Sir:There was a great and timeless expression filled with wisdom coming from ancient thinkers that, “Honesty is the best policy.”

This ingenious and powerful message may sound old, cliche and stereotype but it still makes sense and relevant even till today and it carries with it loads of truth.

Search your heart and mind, you will definitely see the truth inherent in that simple statement.

Human beings, the world over, have lost confidence in leaders and people who indulge in lies, tricks, chicanery and subterfuge.

At the end of the day, such people reap shame, ridicule and even poverty as compensation from the Almighty God.

The Karmic forces never sleeps nor slumber.

Do not mix wiles and lies in your character and relationship with fellow human beings because it has grave and bad repercussions at the end of the day. People have lost confidence and trust in individuals who trade in lies, and their reward is going down from grace to grass.

There are lots of instances and factual experiences of honest and truthful people becoming rich and successful due to their unblemished and impeccable character. God hates liars!

Note these deep sentences and aphorisms:

The Yorubas have a witty saying, “Ti iro ba lo ni ogun odun, ojo kan soso ni otito yi o ba.” meaning, “Lies may tarry and stay long for ages but the absolute truth will come to light in just one day.”

“Esan wa fun gbogbo ohun ti a n se laiye.” meaning, “There’s compensation and judgment for all we do here on earth.”

I am sure you see why truth is good and honesty is still the best policy?
