Trading in the shares of Multi-Trex Integrated Foods Plc has resumed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) after the company submitted its outstanding financial statements, ending an almost eight-year suspension.
The Nigerian Exchange Regulation Limited (NGX RegCo) said the suspension was lifted on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, after the company submitted the relevant financial statements and the exchange confirmed that they complied with applicable rules.
The shares were suspended on November 1, 2018, after the company failed to file its financial statements within the required period, preventing shareholders and other investors from trading the stock on the exchange.
In a market notice signed by the Head of the Issuer Regulation Department, Godstime Iwenekhai, NGX RegCo said the lifting of the suspension was in line with its Default Filing Rules, which allow trading to resume after an issuer submits the relevant accounts and the exchange is satisfied that they comply with its rules.
The development comes as Multi-Trex filed its 2026 year-end financial statement, which showed a sharp increase in revenue but a wider loss.
The company reported unaudited revenue of N3.61 billion for the year ended April 30, 2026, compared with N47.9 million recorded in the previous financial year.
Despite the sharp increase in revenue, Multi-Trex recorded a loss after tax of N615.06 million, compared with N423.20 million in 2025.
The company’s latest results also showed operating expenses of about N1.11 billion and cost of sales of about N3.10 billion during the year.
