Nigeria came alive on October 6 as Indomie, Nigeria’s leading instant noodles brand, celebrated World Indomie Day with a city-wide activation in Lagos and other part of the country that brought moments of joy, connection, and appreciation directly to consumers
Taking the celebration beyond traditional event venues, Indomie transformed everyday spaces into hubs of excitement, reaching consumers at BRT stations, markets, and major junctions across Lagos. From the early hours of the day, the teams engaged with commuters, traders, workers, and residents, creating memorable experiences through product sampling, branded merchandise giveaways, music, and interactive moments.
At selected BRT stations, Indomie’s mobile kitchens served freshly prepared noodles to commuters, offering consumers an opportunity to enjoy their favorite meal in a fun and unexpected setting. The activation generated excitement across the city as people chanted the iconic “I Love My Indomie” jingle, danced to music, received branded gifts, and shared in the festive atmosphere.
Commenting on the celebration, EbereAnajama, Brand Manager, said: “World Indomie Day is a celebration of the love Nigerians have for Indomie. This year, we wanted to take that love directly to the people and make the celebration feel personal, spontaneous, and accessible. By bringing the experience into communities and everyday spaces, we were able to connect with consumers in a meaningful way and share in the moments that matter most to them.”
Also speaking on the initiative, Ibrahim Isah, Brand Manager, Indomie, added: “For us, World Indomie Day is all about the people who have made Indomie part of their lives. We wanted Nigerians to experience that celebration in the most authentic way possible, right where they live, work, commute, and connect. Taking Indomie to the streets allowed us to share in those everyday moments and show our appreciation for the continued love and loyalty consumers have shown the brand over the years.”
Beyond the on-ground activation, Indomie’s digital engagement campaign amplified the celebration online by encouraging consumers across Nigeria to share videos of their World Indomie Day experiences with family and friends while dancing to the iconic “I Love My Indomie” jingle. The initiative, driven by the digital team OpeoluwaOlaitan and Oni Busayo, helped extend the excitement to social media, generating authentic consumer content and showcasing the love Nigerians have for the brand.
The celebration continues on October 10 and 11 at the National Stadium, Surulere, where IndomiePalooza will bring consumers together for two exciting days of music, food, entertainment, games, and shared experiences under the theme, “Where Moments Meet Fun.”
