Youths have been urged to develop passion for agriculture and other business enterprises, as their small beginning would transform to global presence if they do not relent in their efforts.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive of Ayoludanth Nigeria Enterprises Limited, Chief Ayoola Osunleye, gave the charge while hosting over 300 youths to mark the year 2026 Independence anniversary at his Supermart in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Osunleye also advised them to be disciplined, imbibe the spirit of excellence in their dealings with customers and people around them. While narrating his story, Osunleye confirmed that he has been an entreprenuer since his secondary school days, focusing on livestock such as rearing of chickens, producing and selling meat pie.
He said: “I focused my vision on entrepreneur, agriculture, and the opening of supermarkets in which I have one in Abeokuta. I also became a building contractor working with Federal, State and Local Councils to construct houses, drainages and roads. I supplied rams to President Bola Tinubu at Bourdillion, Lagos, for four years, also supplying turkeys to the present Chief Judge of Ogun State. My agriculture business and excellent construction works received accolades from notable personalities across Nigeria.”
He urged the youths not to stop moving forward during trials or turbulence, urgung them to start small and not be in a hurry to make it, “as local beginnings would surely expose them to the global stage someday.”
Osunleye further urged the youths to have a good mentor that would shape their journey, noting that Mr. Akinwunmi Adesina, the former Minister of Agriculture who also served as the President of African Development Bank and Pastor David Oyedepo of Winners’ Chapel are his mentors.
