Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has reignited her feud with colleague Eniola Badmus, accusing her of ingratitude despite the support she claims to have given her earlier in her career.

Bakare called out Badmus on Monday, October 19, 2026, following the latter’s reaction to her name during an appearance on content creator Isbae U’s podcast, Curiosity Made Me Ask.

During the interview, Isbae U mentioned Bakare as one of his favourite actresses, prompting Badmus to hiss and change her facial expression. The moment caught viewers’ attention after a clip from the programme circulated on social media.

Reacting to the incident, Bakare shared the video on her Instagram page and accused Badmus of repeatedly attempting to damage her reputation publicly despite several warnings.

In her post, the actress expressed displeasure at what she perceived as disrespect from her colleague, questioning why Badmus continued to react negatively whenever her name was mentioned.
“Must you always damage my character publicly? Several times I have warned you to stop, but since you have decided to bring me down at all cost, you will surely hear from me,” she wrote.

Bakare also accused Badmus of being ungrateful, claiming she had played a significant role in helping her grow in the movie industry.
“See your facial expressions at the mention of your biggest benefactor’s name? Omo ale, that helped you to grow in life. Honestly, you are indeed an ingrate, and I won’t let this slide,” she added.

She further stated that she would not allow what she described as another person’s insecurity to distract her from her personal journey, insisting that she understood her worth and the effort it had taken to build her career.

The latest exchange adds to a long-running disagreement between the two actresses, which has played out publicly on social media and at entertainment events.

In April 2025, the actresses were involved in a confrontation at the premiere of Owambe Thieves, a film by actress Eniola Ajao, held at Circle Mall in Lekki, Lagos.

A video from the event showed Bakare confronting Badmus while a man believed to be Badmus’s bodyguard attempted to intervene. The incident sparked further exchanges online, with Bakare subsequently sharing screenshots of their private conversations.

At the time, Bakare claimed she had helped Badmus secure opportunities in the movie industry when other filmmakers were reluctant to cast her. She also accused her colleague of repeatedly disrespecting her despite their long-standing relationship.

The actresses’ disagreement has since resurfaced on several occasions, with their latest exchange once again drawing reactions from social media users.

Badmus had not publicly responded to Bakare’s latest accusations at the time of reporting.
