LANI Consulting Limited will be conducting a three-day training starting today, July 14 to 16, 2015 on tax audit and investigations for the management of the Lagos Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) at LCCI Alausa, Lagos, by 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. daily.

LANI Consulting is the consulting arm of the LANI Group, which provides management consulting and advisory services to medium and large-scale organisations in both public and private sector.

The Chairman of LANI Group, Elder Angeline Bassey, who also is a member of the Nigerian Taxation Standards Board (NTSB), will declare the training open while Mr. Ani Charles Bassey-Eyo, the CEO of LANI Group, will lead the faculty of four seasoned tax, legal and accounting professionals facilitating the three-day workshop.

In a statement issued yesterday, the firm said: “The role of an effective Internal Revenue Service members of staff in generating revenues for the government cannot but be over-emphasised at a time like when oil revenues have depleted. Tax revenues will increasingly become a major source of revenue in the medium term for all tiers of government.
