Understanding Cancer From The Spiritual Perspective IV

cancer----CopyHEALTH scientists have identified some physical warning signs of cancer- itching, change in skin, wart or mole, a sore that does not heal, appearance of an unusual lump or swelling, unexplained weight loss, fever and fatigue, indigestion, change in bowel and bladder habits, difficulty in swallowing, hoarseness of cough, unusual bleeding (after intercourse, in urine, stool, vomit) or unusual discharge, etc.

Any of these signs and symptoms should not be neglected and should be clinically monitored and evaluated by a competent health-care provider.

Early detection will not only prevent complications, but will also make the condition easy to manage.

They have also enumerated some risk factors (things that may increase a person’s chance of developing a disease) that can increase a person’s susceptibility to cancerous growths, e.g. having a family history or close relative, such as a mother, father, sister or a brother with any forms of cancer, smoking, excessive drinking or alcohol abuse, a weak liver, kidney and immune system, physical inactivity, obesity, a high-fat diet, a low intake of protective antioxidant nutrients, long-term use of oral contraceptives and post-menopausal use of combined oestrogen and progestin (HRT: Hormone Replacement Therapy), exposure to toxic chemicals or radiations, previous history of benign growth, e.g. in the breast, in which biopsy of the tissues showed atypical hyperplasia, etc.

As we noted in our previous publications, the cancer ‘seeds’ are usually planted silently- many years before they finally germinate and blossom.

Cancer may be dormant, just sleeping quietly, for many years until it is given the opportunity to manifest.

Therefore, knowing one’s risk factors and having the right knowledge can help prevent the disease.

A person who is spiritually active, emotionally or psychically and physically balanced; a person who strives at all times to do that which good, who maintains harmony in all aspects of his or her being- purity in thoughts, words and deeds- will be healthy in body and soul and may be shielded from developing life-threatening illnesses, even when he or she is grouped under a high risk factor for cancer.

A diagnosis of cancer posses a lot of challenges to a person’s life, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

In many people, it provokes fear, worry, anxiety, psychic shock and inner disharmony.

Compounding this are the unknowns about the outcome of treatment, which can further deepen the inner feelings of hopelessness.

Those who look upon cancer diagnosis as a disaster or calamity that has come upon them usually attract what they fear; it submerges them that in most cases, they never rise again.

Such people look to men (who try to take the place of God) rather than directly to God for help. Of course, many of the called physicians do their best and will always urge their patients to look up to God, the Father for total healing.

There are also few people who approach cancer diagnosis with childlike attitude and with unshakable faith and look up to the Creator of All the Worlds for help.

Such people have come to the recognition that cancers or other health problems do not spring into existence arbitrarily, or do they occur accidentally; they have their causes and they manifest according to the exact working of the law of sowing and reaping.

The Laws of God (including the law of healthy living) are perfect and just and they reward every man or woman according to his or her works.

Therefore, having cancer or been free from it stems from the degree to which God’s Laws are obeyed or disobeyed.

With deep inner conviction, such people are aware that only that man or woman is free who knows and strives to live in absolute harmony with the Perfect and Just Laws of the Almighty, and as such, ignorance is no excuse.

Those ‘patients’ who have been granted the grace of experiencing miraculous healing, which is today known in the medical world as Spontaneous Remission (SR) of cancer (i.e. “the disappearance, complete or incomplete, of cancer without medical treatment or with treatment that is considered inadequate to produce the resulting disappearance of disease symptoms or tumour”) are those who confronted cancer diagnosis in the right manner and with the right knowledge and recognition.

They knew that even the most painful earthly experiences can be used as an incentive or a step- ladder with which to climb to the path of soul cleansing, purification and liberation or as a stepping-stone to spiritual ascent.

We have noted in one of our previous articles that: “Serious and terminal illness cause great pain, suffering and deep inner experiencing, which are indelibly imprinted in the soul.

“Such experiences, for instance, give the patient time for true and deep inner reflections, and at such moments, all material considerations and earthly attachments are dispensed with and all internalised (or retained) negative emotions of revenge and unforgiveness are discharged.

“The strong vibration caused by such emotions of deep sorrow can for a short time touch the inner core of man (spirit) and awaken a deep-inner feeling (intuitive perception) or result in an inner opening that will form the bridge to the higher realms, where pure spiritual powers, radiations of the strengthening and thus healing light are anchored.

“A human being or a creature that opens him/herself up spiritually and in humility, either through the strong vibrations caused by emotions of deep sorrow or great joy or through deep and earnest prayer to God, Who is the Dispenser of all mercies, may be granted the grace of absorbing or receiving homogeneous spiritual currents and power that can transform, burn off or neutralise all kinds of afflictions on the physical body.
