Abductors demand N20 million ransom from kidnapped FUTO staffer

ABDUCTORS of the Head of Department of Information Management Technology (IMT), of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), Dr. Felicia Eze, have demanded N20 million in order to free her from captivity, a family source has disclosed.

Eze was reportedly abducted by gunmen from her residence in Umuezeawula, Ihiala, Owerri West Local Council, Imo State on Monday, according to the Head, Public Relations of the institution, Mr. Chike Ezenwa.

Ezenwa told The Guardian that he was outside the state attending an official duties with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. ChigozieAsiabaka, that they heard about the incident two days ago.

As at press time, she was yet to be released, but a source told The Guardian that the abductors had opened talks with her husband, demanding the sum of N20 million before his wife could be set free from their dungeon.
