elemoTHE Director General/Chief Executive of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO), Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria Nwakaegho Elemo, has been appointed a member of the Board of Trustees of The Africa Rice Center (AfricaRice).
 
In a release by the Institute, the appointment conveyed through a letter from the Board Chair, Dr. Peter Matlon, will commence from March 2016 to February 2019 in the first instance and renewable for another three years.

Elemo is expected to bring her wealth of experience in Research & Development and commercialisation of scientific results to bear, while serving on the board of the Center.
