The popular saying that there is no permanent enemy in politics, but permanent interest played out last weekend at the Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s annual event, The Experience, as two political opponents in Lagos State, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Mr. Jimi Agbaje, met and exchange pleasantries.

Aside the celebration of Lagos@50 dinner party that Agbaje attended some months back, the event, which held penultimate Friday, was another major one where the two politicians would meet after the 2015 governorship election, which Agbaje lost to Ambode.

Convened and hosted by Adefarasin, The Experience is an interdenominational gospel concert that features some of the best-known musical talents of our time.

The event, which debuted in December 2006, with over 70,000 persons in attendance, rapidly gained momentum at its second outing with a quantum leap in attendance of well over 700,000 people.

The Experience has now become known as one of the largest gospel musical concerts in Africa.
