
Under the auspices of Orsu Town Development Union, Lagos branch, the community has set up a local organising committee (LOC), headed by Chief Martin Muoghalu, to plan modalities for the competition.
Muoghalu, who during the week presented his committee’s preliminary report to the president of the union, Prince Raymond Okoligwe, disclosed that eight teams from the towns that make up the local council would vie for the cup donated by one of its patrons, Chief Casmir Emenihe.
The towns include Awo Idemili, Umuhu Okabia, Ihitenansa and Orsuihiteokwa. Others are Amaruru, Ebenator, Eziawa and Asa Ubirielem
Reacting to the development, Prince Okoligwe, said the competition would foster unity and cooperation among the various town unions, adding, “everybody knows the importance of providing opportunities for the youths of today to exhibit their God given talent.
