LAGOS State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, yesterday paraded three suspects, among who is a trado-medical doctor for allegedly selling a 2-weeks old baby. The police boss, who identified the trado-medical doctor as Onolaja Olawale, addressed him as the kingpin in the illicit act.

He said the traditional healer was instrumental to the sale of the baby, while the two suspects, a couple, were said to be the child buyer.

According to him, the traditional healer allegedly sold the baby to the couple for N136,000. The parents of the baby, Mr. and Mrs. Akinola Babatunde, were thankful to God and the police command for saving their new baby.

In his confession, the traditional healer said the money was meant to facilitate the procurement of papers of adoption from the Lagos State government.
