A female non-governmental organisation, Young Women Christian Association (YWCA), Lagos branch, will hold a one-day conference today at the Sickle Cell Foundation Hall, Idi Araba, opposite LUTH main gate.

According to a statement, the summit which will be chaired by former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, is for development of specific action plans to address issues underlying major problems confronting women in the society.

The theme is “Transforming for Excellence.” The keynote address will be given by Erelu Bisi Adeleye – Fayemi, co-chairman, endowment campaign, Africa Women’s Development Fund.

Papers will be discussed on: “Violence against women and children,” “Women’s wellness” among others.
