Royal Power deploys solar energy to school

Royal Power and Energy (RPE) has unveiled plans to generate large-scale power from renewables sources to meet the energy needs of Nigerians thereby enhancing availability for socio-economic activities.
  
Besides, as a part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the company has installed a solar solution at LEA Gwarinpa School.The essence of the project, according to the company, was to promote and improve learning conditions among the students of the school. “When I heard about the solar installation in my school, I was very excited. When I was transferred here, there was no light and fan, we are happy, even the children in the class are happy,” the head teacher at LEA Gwarinpa School, Mrs. Fausat Umar Isa, said.
 
The company said the idea behind the project was to create awareness to the general public the benefits of solar power when deployed by professionals.It added that part of the project included replacing the classroom fans and lights with energy efficient options. “Royal Power and Energy’s vision is to assist Nigerians to realise and fully maximise the abundant energy from the sun in generating power to meet their daily energy needs by providing first class services and solutions.
  
The Managing Director of RPE, Sasha Israni, said: “At Royal Power and Energy, we want to shape a sustainable future and help to protect our environment, and that can only be achieved by starting with ourselves, based on the principle of‚ think global, act local. This was the driving force behind supporting the children at LEA Gwarinpa School.”
  
Recognising the need for a cheaper and better alternative source of power generation, the company offers a variety of solar solutions, which range from simple rooftop solar installations to large-scale solar plants for SMEs and industries. With a significant number of installations across Nigeria, RPE is working to ensure businesses switch from the conventional source of power to renewables.
 
“It is exciting to see the expansion of solar technology in Nigeria.
