October 10 will remain in the memory of students at FCT School for the Blind, Jabi, Abuja, for a long time, as they witnessed yet another show of love from the entire team of Lydia Ajoke Ogun Foundation (LAF), Orol Youth Empowerment Initiative and Ufuk Dialogue Foundation in partnership and Pristine Solidarity. These organisations put smiles on the faces of the children with their kind gestures. They donated gift items, delivered mentoring session, sang praises and worship songs and culminated the visit with lunch for the children.

Indeed the theme, ‘Smiles for Children’ was fulfilled, as the children were all smiles. The organisers also felt satisfied as the objective of #Smilesforchildren became a reality and a springboard for mentoring great minds to further explore their innermost potentials, with a resolve to achieving self-development and impacting positively on the sustainability of our world. Above all, the event helped them to choose life, which captures the psycho emotional, educational and social development of the children.

The success of the event also evidences the vitality of collaborative efforts of non-governmental organisations as a requisite ingredient in the actualisation of the sustainable development goals.
