A statement signed by the Event Co-ordinator, Mrs. Thompson Miriam, said: “The sole idea behind the event is to introduce modern marketing techniques to business owners as well as how to implement these strategies on the growing 21 century platforms.”
According to her, major problems with marketing and online business promotion, among others, will be identified as well as proffer solutions to them.
“It is an event that can take your business to the next level, as it will be the ‘big break’ your business has been looking for”, she said.
In another development, the Centre for African Culture and Development (CEFACAD) has called on African women to learn management.
The Executive Director of CEFACAD, Prof. Sophie Olumole, who stated this in an interview with The Guardian at the just-ended second yearly Women in Business and Leadership Summit (WIBLES) in Lagos, said: “Women always say they do not have money to contest for leadership positions; but I do not believe so, rather they are not good managers of money.”
The retired professor of African philosophy said: “African women are the worse managers of money and should learn management.”
Also speaking on this year’s theme “Building Greatness”, the Founder of WIBLES, Dr. Opral Benson, pointed out that “we are interested in women leadership and business, as well as entrepreneurship, so the theme is a way of getting young women and older ones to network.”
