Groups Criticise APC Over Alleged Destruction Of Posters

A GROUP under the aegis of National Youths Democratic Movement (NYDM) has slammed the presidential campaign organization of All Progressives Congress  (APC) for not recognising the efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan  at alleviating the problems of Nigerians.

The group led by Mr Igwoche Matthew, who addressed journalists in Makurdi Friday while reacting to the statement credited to Buhari Campaign organization in the media faulting the recruitment exercise of Nigeria Immigration Service, regretted that the party has lost touch with the realities on ground.

Meanwhile, the Booth 2 Booth Project, a voluntary campaign organization base in Makurdi to facilitate the election of Mr. Terhemen Tarzoor as governor of Benue state, has condemned the calculated destruction of their posters and billboards last night in Makurdi by hoodlums suspected to be members of the leading opposition party in the state, APC.

Briefing journalists Friday in Makurdi over the wanton destruction of PDP campaign billboards, President of Booth 2 Booth Project, Zaye Jerome, and his secretary, Iyom Gideon, intimated that the suspected political thugs drove in a pick-up van to Pages Park, head office of the organisation, three times in the night to carry out the heinous act.

“Thugs came yesterday to our park about mid night and torn our  posters  apart. The attack on us was unprovoked. This started a day before Buhari came. On yesterday’s incidence, we traced the truck that conveyed the hoodlums to Nasarawa State,” Jerome said.

Igwoche posited that, even as the Idoma nation regretted the ugly incident that lead to the death of some people during the aborted immigration exercise “it is appropriate here to remind APC of the commitment of President Jonathan-led administration that his promise to the families.”
