LAGOS recently came alive when Rocktoberfest, Nigeria’s first rock festival took over Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos Island, with over 15 event’s lineup of rock & roll acts across the country; Clay, Nathmac, Plus 234, Dabyna, Phrance, crowd mentality, footprint5, the isomers, and Celeste.

Other fun activities at the event included black carpet entrance with Hauwa and the body arts and gothic make-up by a stylist. The festival, which was preceded by an online competition, marked a history of Rock music in Nigeria.

The event proper took off with an awesome performance by Arum doing the Nigeria National anthem in a metal way, while the host of the evening were rock enthusiast Kemi Smallz of CityFM105.1 and Classic FM’s Top OAP, Sola Thompson.
