MR. Isiaka Yusuf, a 49-year-old self-employed native of Oyo State, currently residing in Iseyin Road, Moniya in Ibadan, is at a wits’ end over the health condition of his five-year-old child, Kehinde Abdur Raheem Yusuf.

Little Yusuf is afflicted with a health condition in medical parlance known as Hydrocephalus and it started when he was about six months old. He had malaria and a doctor passed a drip via his head. Two weeks after, his head started growing more than his entire body.

At present, he has an unusually very big head, which is bigger than his entire body. As a result of this peculiar ailment, Yusuf cannot sit or walk or control the movement of his head.

Since the sickness started, he had been taken to more than 10 different hospitals, including private, traditional and General Hospitals before he was eventually referred to University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan in June 2011.

At UCH, he has undergone a failed EVT and another surgery is urgently required to save his life. At the moment, however, the family is constrained by other pressing demands to meet up with the financial obligation for Yusuf’s treatment.

According to Yusuf’s father, “the family is completely out of funds and desperately needs the help of kindhearted Nigerians to come to their rescue with the medical cost of the surgery at UCH, which is about N650,000. My contact number is 08032854784 and account detail is GTBank 0136881523. Account name is Isiaka Adewale Yusuf.”
