MRS. ‎Florence Seriki, chief executive officer, Omatek Ventures Limited, has stated that implementing local content policy in the IT/ICT sector remains critical in Federal Government’s drive to stamp out unemployment.

‎Seriki made the remark during Barrister Adebayo Shittu, minister of Communications’ a-day working visit to the Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) plant in Lagos, adding that FG’s focus on technology sector serves better in diversifying the economy.

She said; “Omatek will be 30 years by 2016 and we thus far far created a solid foundation by showcasing to the world that Nigeria is a hub of innovation and creativity leveraging not just desktop hardware technology but also solar power tech solutions.”

Though many ministers have come to see what we do here at Omatek by way of showing support and see the need for government to begin to look in the direction of indigenous players in the technology industry to drive key sectors of the economy.
