THE Ondo State Government has promised to give a face-lift to medical facilities in the state.
Commissioner for Health, Dr Dayo Adeyanju, yesterday gave the assurance while leading officials of the ministry on an unscheduled visit to the State Specialist Hospital, Alade-Idanre, in Idanre council.

Adeyanju reiterated the commitment of the state government to providing qualitative healthcare to all and sundry.
The commissioner, however, expressed displeasure over the poor condition of the facilities in the hospital, noting that such negligence is an outright contradiction to the present administration’s drive in providing quality health care to the people.

Adeyanju, who charged the staff in the hospital to always be alive to their responsibilities, further explained that the reason for the impromptu visit was to access the quality of facilities in the area with the aim of identifying where there are challenges.

He disclosed that the monitoring would be a continuous exercise, which according to him, will go a long way in keeping workers on their toes and alive to their responsibilities.
