The 20 – member Monitoring and Evaluation committee of the Implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (2017 -2021), has kicked -off operations with the task of monitoring and evaluating about 800 Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA), in the country.

Consequently, they have been told to demand reports from the MDAs on their compliance to the NACS specifications.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, selected members, including The Guardian’s correspondent, Charles Ogugbuaja. Addressing committee members during the just ended three-day retreat and roles definitions, Consultant to the Rule of Law and Anti – Corruption (RoLAC), Adaeze Chidi-Igbokwe, said they should regard the job they were called to serve in as service to the nation.

Chidi- Igbokwe, disclosed that only Adamawa and Anambra states have keyed into the NACS strategy, commending them while urging other states to establish similar operations at sub-national areas.
