
The event, which held at the residence of the British Deputy High Commissioner, Laure Beaufils, featured a fashion show by the winner of the association’s first fashion competition for youths, Miss Bukola Adeogun.
Formed 49 years ago in Nigeria, the association regularly organises socio-cultural and business activities to bring together friends and associates from both countries to impact positively on the community.
Beaufils said Nigeria and Britain have language, cultural heritage and legal system in common, adding: “The presidential cocktail is about celebrating the friendship between the UK and Nigeria.
We celebrate the fact that we have so many Nigerians studying in the UK and our relationship in the creative industry, like fashion.
We are biggest investor in Nigeria when it comes to commercial issues.
