Residents Laud Lagos Water Project

RESIDENTS of Victoria Island, Lekki and its environs have lauded the effort of the Lagos State government for its improved water delivery to their areas.

The project, according to the residents, who spoke at an interactive event, held at Iru-Victoria Island, Victoria Annex and Lekki areas of the state, would provide potable water and improve the reliability of water supply, to alleviate their plights.

The programme, tagged: “Stakeholders Sensitisation Meeting” on rehabilitation and expansion of distribution network in Lagos Service Area 8, and organised by Lagos Water Corporation attracted chiefs,Baales and other residents.

Executive Secretary, Victoria Island/Ikoyi Residents Association, Mr. Abdulatif Muse, lauded the forum and assured the state government and the corporation that they would cooperate to make the project a success.

He pointed out that for most of them who lived close to the Atlantic Ocean, sinking boreholes is very expensive, noting that they really appreciate the gesture.
