Hebrews 4: 14-16 “Seeing then that we HAVE A GREAT HIGH PRIEST, that is PASSED INTO THE HEAVENS, JESUS the Son of God; let us hold fast our profession for we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly UNTO THE THRONE OF GRACE that we may obtain MERCY AND FIND GRACE to help in time of need”.
THE high places of life represent the platform of Power and Authority, where High Profile decisions are made. Major decisions affecting the populace are usually taken within the confines of high places. Those who live in the high places enjoy unqualified privileges, trappings of power, influence, affluence and opulence. The lives of those in the low places are sometimes regulated by the decision made at the high places. Also, the relations of those in high places enjoy some favours that others are not exposed to.

Most times, the ordinary people want to be connected with people in the high places so as to enjoy their support, assistance, waivers and backups. Like Mephiboseth, who became connected with King David and enjoyed State House banquet and buffet. God’s Word declares that we have a Gracious and Faithful High Priest, who constantly intervenes and intercedes on our behalf. Hebrews 7:25 “Wherefore, He is able also to save them to the uttermost that

Come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them”. Our High Priest is High enough to be in the High Places and to intervene on our behalf. JESUS, our High Priest, is the Ruler of all the kings of the earth and the Governor of the Nations. Revelation 1:5 “And from JESUS CHRIST, WHO IS THE FAITHFUL WITNESS and the First Begotten of the dead and the PRINCE OF THE KINGS OF THE EARTH. Unto Him that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own Blood” and Psalm 22:28 “For the Kingdom is the LORD’S and He is the GOVERNOR AMONG THE NATIONS”. So, our Faithful High Priest has made Himself available to intercede on our behalf whenever we contact Him. JESUS, our Compassionate High Net worth and Resourceful High Priest, possesses what it takes to deal with our daily challenges. We are given the irrevocable invitation and unrestricted access to come to His Platform – the Throne of Grace (not throne of judgment) – Mercy Seat, where help will always come to us.

Today, make JESUS your High Priest. Connect with His intercessory ministry and appropriate His inexhaustible resources of timely help. We can never be stranded, when we connect with JESUS, our Faithful High Priest. When others abandon you, JESUS will still be there, pleading your case before God. He is never tired of our petitions and prayer requests. Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, ALL YE THAT LABOUR and are heavy laden and I WILL GIVE YOU REST”. Do not forget, you are powerfully Connected with the High Places through JESUS, the Great High Priest and you can never be defeated.

PRAYER: LORD JESUS, I receive You, as my Faithful High Priest, seated at the right Hand of God interceding on my behalf. I acknowledge Your Powerful prayers on my behalf. Today, I ask for Your intervention in my finances, family and career. In the Name of JESUS, I receive timely help, assistance and intervention.
