THE Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Football Club (NNPC FC) and Shell FC on Friday qualified for the finals of the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Games (NOGIG) following their 3-0 and 2-0 victories recorded over LNG and Total FC respectively in the preliminary games.

Shell were the first to pick the final ticket at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium, Lagos, just as two great goals by NNPC’s Abdulayi Umaru handed the title holders a ticket to the NOGIG games scheduled to hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on February 28 and March 5, 2016.

NNPC’s Team Manager, Michael Efenor, said the victory came as a temporary relief for him having heard the unfortunate kidnap of his 28-year-old son, Oritsemajemite, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State before the game. He, however, appealed to the abductors to release his son while also praying for same.
