
Inaugurating the committee, the Governor described the dry port and container terminal located at Ntigha in Isiala Ngwa North Council Area as an “expedient project that should be pursued with vigor in order to open access to trade and commerce.”
According to the Governor, the project is expected to fast track economic advancement of the state.
He explained that the project would stimulate other necessary commercial infrastructure and help Importers.
He urged the Committee, which has Dan Nwankwo as Chairman and the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Shippers Council, Hassan Bello as Secretary, to give the project implementation the necessary attention that Would actualise it.
He appealed to all stakeholders that have useful contributions towards the implementation of the project to make same available to the committee, noting that members of the committee drawn from the rank of Permanent Secretaries, Traditional Institution, Commerce and Industry among others
Were chosen based on their experience , integrity and capacity.
