Infantino, African football presidents confirmed for NFF awards
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that FIFA President, Gianni Infantino and African Football Federation presidents from 25 countries will grace the second edition of the NFF Awards, which will hold in Lagos on April 1, reports footballive.ng.
The NFF Awards, which rewards Nigerian footballers and administrators who were outstanding in the previous year, will this year recognize the Super Eagles team of the 1994 class with special posthumous awards to the departed among them.The NFF President, Amaju Pinnick revealed that all logistics have been put in place for a better award ceremony this term than it had last year.
Pinnick said, “We will give special recognition to the Super Eagles class of 1994. We will also honour those among them that are late too.
“We are expecting the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino while Football Federation Presidents from 25 African countries are expected to participate in the occasion.“Everything has been put in motion to ensure that we have a hitch-free and a better-packaged event.”The NFF Awards, which is Nigeria’s biggest football recognition ceremony, debuted last year.
