Group hails Ondo on agriculture

Akeredolu
Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu has been commended for his interest in agriculture, in both human capital and general development of the state.

This was the submission of a group, The Campaign Concourse, in a statement signed by Marcus Opeyemi Amudipe, who disclosed that: “Agriculture has been a strong focal point for the Rotimi Akeredolu-led administration. This can be seen through the multiple agricultural investment and intervention programs put together by the governor.

“Akeredolu is executing various programmes like Youth on the Ridges, empowerment in agro-business, Schools on the Ridges for pupils, egg powder factory and many others.”

The group recalled that Akeredolu said his administration was in partnership with the Federal Government through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to set up a cassava-ethanol project in the state.

“This project would provide over one million jobs within and outside the state. The project, which is being executed by a consortium of investors-Obax Worldwide Ltd, COMPLANT in partnership with NNPC, would create 12,000 direct jobs, while over 200,000 farmers would be fully engaged.”
