Prolific actor and filmmaker, John Njamah is working on a new film with the title Love Thy Neighbour. The film which he is the director is written by Yinka Ogun and produced by Emem Isong . The film is basically about a 28 year old hard working single lady. He is also working on other things which he says will be unraveled later.

Narrating the storyline, Njamah said, “In her bid to escape the worry of her folks breathing down her neck to get married and settle down. Having acquired all the comfort of a good job and a good apartment, tells a lie that she has a boyfriend called John.

Along the line, things take a turn for the worse when her folks called to say they are coming over to stay with her for few days and they would love to see her boyfriend “John”. Now she is forced to present a boyfriend to her folks with the help of her office ‘amebo’ friend Gina. On the other hand, her womanizing neighbour also bares John.

In the course of all of these, she is able to trace her past growing up and how she ended up not being able being herself up to actually dating anyone. Now she must face her parents and show them her boyfriend or open up to them and tell them the truth

“I decided to direct the film because I like the story and felt it was about time Emem and work together. We have had several talks to work together but things always come in between. Working with actors on set was much of a problem because we tried to work together as a team. Only with a different script and the usual challenges that comes with the job which is the fear to do it right, interpretation and to getting them to deliver. I had fun because we sat on the script (my crew and I). “
