Youths have raised Gombe Peace Project to promote peace and religious harmony in the state.

The convener, Yusuf Musa Danbayo, noted yesterday in the capital that the volunteer group was to foster regular interactions and collaborations as well as work with security agencies, religious organisations and community leaders.

“It had its first meeting today (yesterday) with the leadership of the Gombe State Boys Brigade and the JIBWIS. In its next and subsequent meetings, the forum will invite the Christian Association of Nigeria and Jama’atul Nasarul Islam that would have representatives from the various associations. The security agencies and other relevant stakeholders will also be invited,” he stated.
