Susan Chanel Beauty CEO covers nakedness of less privileged people
One of the significance of Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus, as commemorated by Christians globally, is the love Christ showed by coming in human form to save mankind.
Though the profound message in it is to spread love to one another, but on the contrary, it is usually the time most people shower so much of it on themselves. However, Susan Esisi, founder of Susan Chanel Beauty, one of Nigeria’s foremost skincare brand, exemplified what the true message is, by in her usual manner, reaching out to the less privileged in the society during the 2022 Christmas celebration.
Several testimonies by clients are sufficient pointers to how Susan Chanel Beauty products have transformed the beauty and spa industry in Nigeria, since she launched her brand in 2018. But importantly, Susan Esisi has also alongside, transformed the lives of the poor, widows, orphans and the indigent.
The entrepreneur epitomises love and has often proven that her heart is not only golden, but large enough to cater to everyone around her. Through Susan Chanel Foundation, she regularly conducts outreaches in Lagos, where she hands out cooked and raw foods to the hungry and widows who have also benefitted from her empowerment programmes.
The UNILAG graduate of Sociology who hails from Cross River State, has consistently maintained that she is not into blowing her own trumpet for whatever she does to make life better for the less privileged. The Susan Chanel Beauty CEO is one of the incurable philanthropists of her generation, who would rather choose not to flaunt their hard-earned money in the face of others or become globetrotters.
“My business is not just about selling skincare products and making money. I was brought up to remember and care for the less privileged in society. Consequently, I have integrated that ideal into my business. I want the Susan Chanel brand to be known for giving back to society,” the Susan Chanel Beauty boss said in an interview.
“Every successful business and every successful CEO owe humanity a duty which must be paid by giving back to society. Philanthropy offers us an avenue to discharge our duty to humanity.
“There are so many philanthropic initiatives we can think of. Personally, I have adopted children who I am sponsoring in school. I also do donate regularly to orphanages.
“I do not like to flaunt my philanthropic activities, whether the one I do personally, or the one undertaken by Susan Chanel Beauty however, I can tell you that we have been sponsoring the education of some students, providing food to those suffering hunger poverty, and economic empowerment for vulnerable members of the society.
“It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has followed my trajectory from way back. Giving to the needy is part and parcel of who I am because that was how I was brought up. Aside from donations to orphanages and charitable causes, I give cooked food or foodstuff to the needy at least once in two months”, added the CEO of Susan Chanel Beauty.
While others were overtaken by planning for firecrackers at Christmas and New Year celebrations, the Susan Chanel Beauty boss organised another outreach for hundreds of the poor, in which she distributed rice, beans, oil, garri, etc. She also gave out cash gifts to the beneficiaries who thronged the designated office at Opebi area of Lagos.
