Firm Academy Foundation has equipped young girls with vocational skills. The founder of the academy, Adebimpe Adeniyi, urged the girls to embrace their self-discovery journey, acquire more skills, and develop their potential.
She made this call at the fourth edition of ‘Kiddies Mirror Initiative’, where she spoke on the theme ‘Invest in Girls’ Rights, Our Leadership and Our Well-being’, held in Lagos.
While exploring the internet positively, she urged them to use social media diligently, since the fast-changing digital devices and space have provided learning and business opportunities to boost their visions and dreams.
Phonology Consultant and Human and Child rights expert, Rosberg Ezebuno, took the girls on personal hygiene, decency and keeping their environment clean.
She advises them to guard their mental health by avoiding negative thoughts or intentions that could ruin their dreams and aspirations.
Ezebuno also canvassed strict legislation against rape and sexual harassment.
Etiquette coach and teacher, Tusi Onoyona, engaged the girls in etiquette and leadership values. The girls participated in the practical production of snacks and were also taught how to start a small business from home with the close supervision of their parents.
