CMB showers encomium on outgoing CEO

Management and staff of Cooperative Mortgage Bank, yesterday, eulogised the contributions of its outgoing Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Kabir Ayinde-Tukur, for repositioning the institution in the last one decade he served as head of the bank.

Ayinde-Tukur, who would officially complete his tenure alongside the bank’s Chairman Board of Director, Air Vice Marshal Walter Ogujiofor (retd), and the board’s Audit Committee Chairman, Chief Oluwole Okunnuga, at the end of the year, were honoured by the management.

The bank also announced the appointments of the current Deputy Managing Director, Musa Abubakar Yusuf, as the substantive MD/CEO, and Engr Samuel Akinsete, as the board chairman.

They outgoing directors were commended for positioning CMB as the leading mortgage bank in the country,

In his remark, Kabir-Tukur expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead the bank years after training at the old Savannah Bank, noting that the resilience and dedication displayed by his administration were through divine providence and efforts of the Central Bank of Nigeria, business associates, board members and members of staff.

Responding, the new MD/CEO, Yusuf, said his predecessor had created a solid foundation for progress and continuity, noting that the time has come to move from the most vibrant mortgage bank in Nigeria to the most vibrant financial institution in Africa, while leveraging on technology and innovation.

He therefore assured Nigerians of quality and affordable houses, adding that value would always be the focus.
